Description
For so many years the bright red of a barn and its outbuildings has been a distinct mark in places such as rural Wisconsin. Unfortunately, they are being replaced with huge "modern" structures which lack the character of these old wooden buildings.

FANTASTIC...I love teh grainy effect it speaks to the harshness the barn must endure. Great presentation. Cindy

Thank you so much, Norm! I sometimes enjoy doing realistic work, and other times I like doing the impressionistic style.....depends upon my mood, I guess.

Very nice, Carolyn. I sometimes wish I could do more impressionistic work, but I think I do best at representational art. I envy your extraordinary talent, though. v/f

Thank you for your comments, Nava Jo. Having been raised on a farm, I do appreciate the old buildings very much.

Oh--I agree --I love the old red barns and the pastures--and can't stand to see them sell out to developement. Thanks for painting our memories in a beautiful way. Nava

Fabulous historical value and colors are awesome. I totally agree with your description, as fewer and fewer of these structures fall in disrepair, the term "rural" takes on more of an industrial look. I am happy to see you continue to share your ideas of creativity and beauty, and keeping our true "rural" life alive, even in art works. Just love this beauty and the many stories it unfolds. Thanks for sharing, and you got my F/V on this masterpiece of fine art.
