I have no idea why this reminds you of 20's or 30's art work.....no one has ever made a comment like this before.......but thank you, Fontaine, for your insights. This, and many of my other paintings, are taken from my imagination. I love trees, rocks, hills, etc. in the mid-Wisconsin area where I live.

I don't know why but this painting reminds me of artwork done in the 20s and 30s--art nouveau/deco, I suppose. I don't know whether it's the colors or something about the style. In fact, much of your work has that feel to me. Do you have any idea why (e.g., sources of your inspiration, for example), or is this perception an idiosyncrasy of mine alone?

Carolyn, I'm back for a revisit to one of my Favorites. Today, this painting reminds me of the exploration hikes my brothers and I would take, growing up. A stream, like this one, ran nearby our home and provided all the elements to fill a child's imagination. Wondering, what wild animals were hiding and watching us? A quick grab and shout from my older brother was enough to get my heart pumping quickly, and add excitement to our adventures. Thanks for the memory connection! L&F
