Description
Since I love rocks, trees, and textures, it is only natural that I would want to combine all three in a painting. And the area of Wisconsin in which I live has an abundance of beautiful scenery from which to draw my inspiration.

Magnificent watercolor, Carolyn!!! Love that tree perched so precariously clinging to the rock! So happy for your good news! Congratulations on your WFS feature! L/F

Thank you, Nava Jo.....and you must have been as impressed as I was with Doug's comments! He is an artist AND a poet!

Carolyn---I do love this piece with all the colors and light---however, I would rather just copy/paste what Doug said!! :) One great artist to another---meaning Doug to Carolyn. fave/voted

Wow! What poetic commentary! I love it! I wish my description was half as artistic as yours! Thank you so very much!

I might add, for me, the appearance of snow among these rocks is transformed into raging rapids, momentarily racing its course onto calmer waters just around the river bend. Excellent work!

Carolyn, I get a solid feeling of strength when I contemplate this painting: When the world seems to be rushing by me, trying to take away the little bits and pieces of all I have left to cling to, I dig in, hold on, and try to remain strong. Like weathering a storm, this too shall pass. Strange how I find peace and comfort in this powerfully inspiring work of art. Thank you! F&V
