Artist's Description
After doing one dragon fly painting, I decided to try another from a different view, adding a touch of iridescent watercolor to the edges of the wings, along with a little of the negative painting technique on the right side of the background.
About Carolyn Rosenberger
Watercolors have always fascinated me, as have textures. So I sometimes combine rice paper or charcoal on my paintings. This adds an effect that I cannot achieve in any other way. The theme of nature with which my paintings deal is sometimes representational, other times more impressionistic, and occasionally abstract. The beautiful countryside of Waupaca County provides me with an endless amount of inspirational subject matter. Our beautiful home and studio near Iola, Wisconsin was my own design and includes gallery space and work areas where I can give individual instruction.
