About Carolyn Rosenberger
Watercolors have always fascinated me, as have textures. So I sometimes combine rice paper or charcoal on my paintings. This adds an effect that I cannot achieve in any other way. The theme of nature with which my paintings deal is sometimes representational, other times more impressionistic, and occasionally abstract. The beautiful countryside of Waupaca County provides me with an endless amount of inspirational subject matter. Our beautiful home and studio near Iola, Wisconsin was my own design and includes gallery space and work areas where I can give individual instruction. I have had my work accepted in over 200 exhibitions in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Illinois, including sixteen national, eight international, and ten...

Carolyn, Fantastic winter painting love the way you have used the various colors to express the cold winter feeling. Great job at giving the viewer a ray of hope of getting warmer (a little play on words there, LOL) as you have shown us the suns's rays bursting through the sky and onto the landscape. Great details in the side of the mountains with all the snow covered landscape. Great details in the trees and I love the way you have given this painting depth by showing the other trees to the far left letting the viewer wander what or how far those trees are and how steep is this mountain. Excellent scenic painting, voted, tweet, google and FB promoted as seen in the group, Wisconsin Flowers and Scenery promo thread

Very nice, and I love the slope of the land and anytime I see sunshine, even the slightest rays, during the winter, it is a true "pick me up", as haven't seen it much lately. Great colors and contrasts and superb textures. FAve and vote
